Meghan started her career in investment banking at Evercore before moving into strategy at Goldman Sachs. She left Wall Street for startups, working first in operations and data, then in startup finance — where she saw how many early-stage companies struggle with financial management long before they can afford a dedicated finance team.

That gap led her to create Undeferred, where for the past eight years she has helped startups like Suiteness, Readwise, Brightflow AI, and Arena AI take control of their finances, accounting, and back-office operations.

Meghan holds a BBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, with concentrations in finance and accounting. Outside of work: yoga (she’s a certified instructor), fitness and wellness, travel, and new recipes.

John spent ten years running business operations for a legal-tech company serving the U.S. Army and major East Coast law firms, then co-founded Real Food Eatery, a healthy restaurant chain in Philadelphia.

When COVID hit, the monthly books — accurate, but weeks old — couldn’t answer the only question that mattered: are we making money today? John built the layer that could: daily reporting, independent of the close, that exposed the waste and let the business cut it in time to survive.

That experience became the blueprint for his work at Undeferred: he designs and builds the firm’s automation — the scheduled workflows, agents, and close pipelines that run our clients’ back offices — so that owner-grade attention scales past what any one person’s hours could cover.
